GK – Wessel Spiel (LIR) – A strong figure in Long Island’s defence, Spiel’s towering presence put fear in the minds of all attackers looking to break through Long Island’s goal. and it started with Speel behind.
D – Bjarne Thiessen (LIR) – Captain of Long Island and was a fan favorite. He made his presence felt as a big German defender and was also a member of Ruff his Riders. He played big, scored big goals, and led the Roughriders to a big season, so it turned out to be a worthwhile effort to come back and lead them another summer.
D – Moses Mensah (KNOX) – Moses Mensah, another player gaining preseason love from across the country ahead of the NCAA Division I season, was the star of a tough Knoxville defense that boasted physical superiority.
D – Samory Powder (HVH) – Powder was voted by fans and coaches as the League Two Defender and Player of the Year. From right back he scored 6 goals and 6 assists Powder rioted in his one of League Two’s best metropolitan division.
D – Moise Bombito (SEA) – One of the frontrunners for Defender of the Year, Bombito couldn’t stop making big plays for the Seacoast United Phantoms. He led the back line of perhaps the best defensive team in the league and was praised for his efforts not only by his own coach but also by his rivals.
M – Joao Gomeiro (NCF) – Gomeiro, along with teammates Alex Holbeno and Ben Wyman, was a dominant team force for the NC Fusion U-23, especially in midfield. Winning the ball and pitching it back into the net was all in Gomeiro’s toolkit. He recorded his ten goals and added his three assists, including his two in the playoffs.
M – Peter Stroud (MOT/TOB) – Stroud is one of the most admired young college footballers in the country. After a season splitting time between FC Motown and Tobacco Road FC, Stroud will be on his watch list all preseason for the upcoming college season.
M – Riley Craft (DMN) – Des Moines set-piece taker and corner delivery man Riley Craft was one of the most dangerous players in the league all season long. 5 goals and 5 assists highlight his contribution as a scorer and passer, a key player for the nearly undefeated Menace.
F – Blaudilio Rodriguez (WMP) – Pioneers won when Rodriguez scored. It’s as easy as that. As Rodriguez scored his one of his ten goals with the Pioneers this season, the club he was 6-0-0. He was a key member of the Western Mass Attack, and the entire team was on the move when he was around.
F – Nathaniel Opok (VEN) ・A young player who is the playoff final MVP and has a bright future in the football world. In his Opoku this season, his meticulous control and his touch to shoot were a perfect match, scoring banger after banger on Ventura’s magical run. He also took the club’s lead in goals in the regular season as he continues his development. Opoku’s fingerprints are all over the trophy, which is now in Ventura, California.
F – Chemie Amiche (AVL) – Another darling on the preseason NCAA list, Amiche dominated Asheville City SC all season long. Amiche’s season wouldn’t be complete without mentioning his five-goal performance against the South Carolina United Bantams. This put him in the middle of his race with Golden his boots, just short at the end of the season. Amiche had a great season in his 12 appearances in which he scored 12 goals and added 4 assists.
