Memphis, Tennessee. – Memphis 901 FC announced Friday that the club has signed midfielder Emerson Hindman for the remainder of the 2023 USL Championship season. Hindman will be selected Saturday night when 901 FC will face Louisville City FC at Lynn Family Stadium.
Hindman comes to Memphis with top-league experience in Major League Soccer and the Scottish Premiership, as well as two senior international caps for the USA Men’s National Team. The 27-year-old recently made 51 MLS appearances for Atlanta United FC, where he was coached by 901 FC head coach Stephen Glass.
“We are delighted to have Emerson join our group,” Glass said. “Since coming to training, he has enjoyed our environment and what we have to offer. It’s great to be there.”
The Dallas native Hindman signed at Fulham’s youth academy in England at the age of 15 and made his senior debut in the EFL Championship for the Cottages in 2014. He also made two appearances for Fulham in the Premier League before heading north, where Hindman played for both Rangers FC and Hibernian FC in the Scottish Premiership. He played 36 games over two seasons, scoring 5 goals and 4 assists.
After joining Atlanta in 2019, Hindman recorded four goals and six assists and helped the club win the 2019 US Open Cup and Campenes Cup.
