Darcy Myers is “very proud” of his fiancée Anthony Robinson and the US Men’s National Team in the 2022 World Cup.
Posted on Instagram on Saturday, On the same day, the Netherlands defeated the United States in the Round of 16.Myers wrote a touching note to 25-year-old Robinson, known by his Star Wars-inspired nickname as ‘Jedi’ he has been kept since childhood.
“There are high highs and low lows, but what is certain is that you and all the boys can be very proud of themselves,” Myers shared. “World Cup 2022, you I did that Jedi.”
In another post shared on her Instagram story, Myers — who announced his engagement to Robinson March — Thanks to fans for their supportive messages following America’s heartbreaking defeat.
“Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support for the Jedi. [sic] His time here,” she began.
“He made us proud and showed the world that he’s a great player and a human being.”


Shortly after Saturday’s 3-1 loss, USMNT coach Greg Berhalter praised his team for putting “everything they had” into the game.
“This is a difficult one for us to swallow. .
Robinson’s teammate Christian Pulisic also praised the group.




“It hurts so much right now. … We wanted it so much,” Pulisic said. “I hope it gives people some excitement and shows what this country is and what this team is.”
In addition to USMNT, Robinson plays for Fulham FC in the Premier League, which he joined in 2020.
Off the pitch, Robinson is enjoying family time with Myers and their little daughter, Atlas, whom he welcomed last winter.
