Brooklyn Morris has been elevated to the College of the Sequoias women’s soccer head coaching position after a successful three-year stint as an assistant for the Giants.
Morris, a former Redwood High School, and Sierra Nevada University standout, brings a wealth of energy and experience to the position.
Morris is a head coach for the Central Valley Premier Club Program in Visalia. She oversees two different age groups and serves as the head coach of both. Morris has also been serving as an assistant at Redwood since 2020 during the high school winter sports season.
“I am thrilled for Brooklyn!” COS athletic director Brent Davis said. “Brooklyn has been one of the main catalysts in helping our women’s soccer program become a playoff-caliber team. She has many contacts in the local area for recruiting; she has a passion to help young people succeed and move on, and the players in our program respond to her and respect her abilities. Our program is in good hands.”
Morris replaces Elliott Hord, who is moving to the Sacramento region to pursue professional opportunities.
Morris inherits a program coming off a Northern California playoff berth − the first in over a decade.
“I want to continue to build off of the recent success we have had here,” Morris said. “I want COS to be the destination for women’s soccer players to play. I want all of our players to continue to get better, flourish in the classroom, and be able to continue to play at a four-year if that is what they choose they want to do. I will work for them, and can’t wait to get started. “
