Seven years after the idea was first discussed, DC United finally got their cherry jersey.

The kit is described by multiple sources who have seen it as being a predominantly white shirt with pink sleeves and a pink rounded collar. and branches – featuring a series of slogans on small black bands on either side of the shirt.

Sources said on Wednesday that some at the club preferred rolling out the cherry blossom-inspired design as a third kit, which may have encouraged the shirt designers to think a little more creatively.
