She is a seasonal worker with a 9th grade education and limited English skills. The mother also provides hair care and cleaning services whenever opportunities are available. Prior to COVID she worked full-time but she was laid-off. She now works three jobs, trying to pay past bills and cover living expenses. Thankfully, her landlord works with her. The oldest daughter expressed her admiration for her mother’s hard work and dedication to their family.
