After an exciting season, the following players have been selected to the 2022 All-North Jersey girls soccer teams.
Old Tappan senior goalkeeper
Ward carried the Golden Knights to their first sectional title with a legendary postseason run: She collectged four straight shutouts, three in penalties, and stopped a combined seven of 10 shootout attempts in the final and semifinal. She topped all North Jersey keepers with a .915 save percentage.
Immaculate Heart senior defender
Cunningham tallied two goals and four assists while helping the Blue Eagles repeat as the Non-Public A state champions. The Lehigh-bound centerback brought a calming presence with her ability to break up plays and pass out of the back.
Ridgewood senior defender
The Maroons may be known for their offense, but their ability to rebuild in the back was the X-factor to reaching their first state final. Goldberg anchored a completely new defense that allowed 18 goals in 21 games on the way to Bergen County and North 1, Group 4 titles.
Immaculate Heart senior defender
Osorio brought speed and versatility to the Blue Eagles’ lineup, finishing with three goals and 15 assists as a true box-to-box defender. She used her touch as a corner kick specialist to set up two goals in IHA’s state championship comeback.
Ramsey senior midfielder
Capuano was an excellent field general who struck for eight goals and 11 assists after battling back from a torn ACL. She took pressure off the top-ranked defense in North Jersey with her ability to work out of trouble and find an open teammate from the holding mid position.
Waldwick junior midfielder
No one in North Jersey scored more than Waldwick and no one in the region accounted for more offense than Incorvaia (32 goals, 20 assists). She brought Waldwick its first sectional title in a decade with a hat trick that included the overtime winner in the North 1, Group 1 final.
DePaul senior midfielder
The Spartans captain was the worker bee for a program that won four league, two county and one state title during her time on Alps Road. She put DePaul back on top of Passaic County this year with five goals and eight assists.
Ridgewood junior midfielder
One of the top three-sport athletes in North Jersey, Winn has brought Ridgewood soccer to a new level with her knack for clutch play. The UCLA commit tallied 26 goals and 10 assists this season and scored the winner in the North 1, Group 4 final for the second time in her career.
Immaculate Heart junior forward
Barry came back on a mission after missing a year with a torn ACL, scoring a North Jersey-best 35 goals to go with six assists. The All-American forward recorded a point in all 21 games and none were bigger than her game-winning strike in overtime in the Non-Pubic A state final.
Wayne Hills junior forward
It is hard to miss the 5-foot-10 forward on the soccer field, and even harder to stop her. The sharpshooting Virginia commit broke the Patriots’ single-season record by getting 32 goals and added seven assists.
Ridgewood senior forward
Slott was incredibly dangerous in the final third, either with her ability to take on defenders or hold the ball up and set up others. The Boston commit set a career-high with 23 goals and dished out 15 assists for a team that went unbeaten in the regular season.
Ramapo senior forward
The Seton Hall commit poured in 17 goals and 17 assists this season to guide the Raiders to their first state title since 2015. Twomey knocked in both her attempts in the championship shootout and sacrificed for the team by filling in on defense that day for an injured centerback.
