Birmingham, Alabama. – Birmingham Region FC announced Thursday that the club has signed Brazilian defender Gabriel Alves ahead of the 2023 USL Championship season. This transaction is pending league and federation approval.
The 23-year-old from São Paulo, Brazil, has been a mainstay in Marshall University’s lineup since the 2020 freshman campaign, was named to the Conference USA All-Conference Freshman Team, and Herd was named Conference USA Champion and NCAA Division.
