Inter Miami manager Phil Neville has confirmed his interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi and Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.
Messi’s and Busquets’ respective club contracts expire at the end of the season.
And Inter Miami have vacancies on their roster to add big names for the 2023 season following the retirements of Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi.
“I’m not going to deny that there is no truth to the speculation that he is interested in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets,” Neville said. Times.
“Since joining Miami, I think we have connected with all the top players in world football: Sergio Ramos, Dani Alves, Robert Lewandowski, Willian, Cesc Fabregas, Luis Suárez. And so on, you can rattle them all.
“We are always connected with the best players in the world. We had Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi.
After finishing sixth in the Eastern Conference last year, Inter Miami were eliminated in the first round by New York City FC in the MLS Cup playoffs.
Neville’s team will start the new season with a home game against CF Montreal on Saturday.
