A graduate of the FC Dallas Academy, Pickering quickly made headlines when he turned pro with the 901 FC last summer. His first goal was on his debut for the club, with a spectacular bicycle kick to cap off a victory over Hartford Athletic.
However, the club persevered and his appearance was one of just seven in the 2022 season. But with the departure of Philip Goodrum to FC Tulsa last month, Pickering is believed to be ready.
It’s no easy feat given Memphis’ Pickering prowess, but since he joined the lineup, his total of five goals and assists is the most of any player on the team, surpassing Tampa Bay’s Charlie. Along with Dennis and Ryan Spalding. Some of these players have scored five goals since 13 May.
The 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship is still a long way off, but given his experience with the U-19 Men’s National Team so far and his current professional growth, Pickering is looking forward to working with head coach Mikey Vallas. The following groups of potential contributors:

– Marco Rios, Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC: There’s nothing like scoring your first professional goal in front of a packed crowd. Rios capped off the moment on Saturday night with the Switchbacks winning 4-0 against Orange County SC.
“Words cannot describe the feeling,” Rios said. “When I score a goal, my teammates come to hug me and the fans come, it’s just unbelievable.”
– Miles Lyons, El Paso Locomotive FC: The 20-year-old came on with 20 minutes to go and not only delivered the perfect cross to level the score for Luis Solignac, but he made 11 of 13 passes.
– Abdul Zanne, Loudon United FC: The 20-year-old joined United at left-back and had a strong defense in Loudon’s victory over Tulsa, winning 2 of 2 tackles, 5 of 8 duels and recovering 11 times. showed
– Kave Rudd, Hartford Athletic: The 21-year-old has had a string of solid performances as an athletic centre-back, making 58-of-64 passes and making six clears against the Indy Eleven on Saturday.
– Owen Dam, Louisville City FC: Overall, it wasn’t a great night for LouCity Academy’s production, but getting the first assist in the Pro ranks is a win.
