Chata joined OCSC’s professional ranks after a remarkable trial period, including his first appearance in an international friendly for Black and Orange in an international friendly against Hamburger SV last November. The Fremont, Calif. native will begin his professional career after completing his college career as a standout player for the past two seasons at the University of California, Irvine.
The 23-year-old joined the UCI in 2021 and has made 38 appearances, including 35 as a starter. During his college career, Chatta was named to the All-Big West Conference First Team twice, scoring eight goals and he had three assists.
