Osvaldo Real, Chris DeLeon and Robert Little scored goals as Novato exceeded its win total from last season in the first week of this one following a 3-2 victory against Archie Williams on Saturday.
The Hornets (2-0-0, 2-0-0 MCAL) went 1-11-4 last year but picked up their second win of the week. Novato opened the season with a 2-0 win against Marin Catholic.
Novato took a 3-0 lead into the half before Archie Williams rallied to make it close. Anton Della Valle and Jaden Kughn had goals for the Peregrine Falcons (0-2-0, 0-2-0).
Maya Greenholz netted a hat trick to lead Redwood to a 7-0 road win against San Marin on Saturday. Sarah Farese, who has scored in all three games for Redwood this season, added a brace for the Giants (2-1-0, 1-0-0). Lilana De Leon Morales had a pair of assists. Katie Nogueiro and Evelyn Spiegel had the other goals against San Marin (1-1-0, 1-1-0).
