Redlands, California – Redlands FC will become the latest club to join USL League 2, the USL announced Thursday.
Redlands FC CEO Ryan Whiley, a Redlands native, said: “We want to give back to the community by providing a team that can come together for years to come.”
The club’s mission is to source NCAA qualified players from local colleges and make the Redlands community proud. The club offers local players the opportunity to grow in a competitive environment and internalize the unique identity that comes with representing Redlands FC.
“We are very excited that everyone at Redlands FC wants to start their club in USL League 2,” said Joel Nash, Vice President of USL Youth and Pre-Professional Properties. says. “This is a highly motivated group to bring great football that the Redlands community can be proud to support.”
This will be the first season for Redlands FC to participate in the competition. The club was founded in 2022 by Redland native Ryan Whiley with his owners Christopher Driscoll and his Rajat Khare.
The club will host a game at Redlands High School’s Dodge Stadium in 2023.
