Chicago (January 18, 2023) – US Soccer announced today that Shawn Danhouser has won his second annual ADAPTandTHRIVE Disability Award.

Danhauser earned this honor after serving on the Board of Directors for Diversity and Inclusion in Soccer with the US Soccer Coaches Community and for her work with US Youth Soccer’s TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer).Intellectual, emotional and/or physical disabilities to play games in a safe, fun and supportive environment

Danhouser is also a member of the Disabilities Allies Coaches Community, dedicated to providing resources and information, raising awareness, and creating a community for disabled athlete coaches and coaches with disabilities to share experiences and ideas. . She also coaches Addison United in Addison, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
