The USA U-20 Men’s National Team will hit the field for the first time in 2023 as preparations for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup begin.
Jack McGlynn, Joshua Winder and Quinn Sullivan headline Gonzalo Segares’ 23-man roster for January Camp January 19-29 at IMG Academy in Florida. Segares will lead his USMNT U-20 camp and current head coach Mikey Ballas will join his USMNT senior team for a friendly in California.
A total of 13 players returned from winning the USMNT U-20 title at last summer’s Konka Cafe U-20 Championship. The American won his third consecutive title, qualifying for both his U-20 World Cup and his 2024 Paris Olympics.
Sullivan was named in the best XI of the tournament after scoring six goals behind Golden Boot winner Pakhten Aaronsson. Tyler Wolf, Antonio Carrera, Mauricio Cuevas and others also made their mark in his USMNT U-20 in Honduras.
Winder, Emi Ochoa, and Owen Wolfe find six players in the hunt for their first USMNT U-20 cap. Winder is now a prospect in his USL for Louisville City and after a strong year with club and country, he was nominated for the 2022 US Football Player of the Year.
