Chicago (January 3, 2023) – The US Men’s Under-16 Youth National Team will hold its first training camp of the year from January 4-13 at the Hillsborough County Tournament Sportsplex in Tampa, Florida. Head Coach Michael Nxien He called up 23 players for the event, his second training camp since taking over the U-16 MYNT in November.
Athletes born on or after January 1, 2007 are eligible for this U-16 MYNT cycle. All 23 of his players, born in 2007, meet the age limit for the Concacaf U-17 Championship in Guatemala.

Thirteen players have returned from the U-16’s final training camp. Football His Federations His Cup U-16s in Abril, Spain in November showed strong play, including wins over Wales and England. Forward Montrell Carbres tied with his two other players for most goals scored in the tournament. So far, seven players have attended all three of his U-16 MYNT training camps.
The roster includes 20 clubs, including 18 Major League Soccer academies. Two players each have been called up from LAFC, the Philadelphia Union and New York City FC, while one player (Karbreth) is based overseas in his 1FC his Kaiserslautern in Germany. The roster comes from 13 different states, led by his three players in California, New York and Texas.
