USL Championship Fans’ Choice Saves of the Week – Week 3
Trevor Spangenberg (BHM) – #HFDvBHM, March 25, 2023: As Legion FC recorded their first shutout since August last year, Spangenberg made a spectacular point-blank save to stop Hartford Athletic’s Elvis Hameau in the 6-yard area.
Yannik Oettl (IND) – #DETvIND, March 25, 2023: The German shot-stopper flipped over Detroit City FC’s Maxi Rodriguez’s looping volley deep in injury time to hold on to a 1-0 win, thus retaining all three of Indy’s points away.
Jordan Farr (SA) – #SAvCOS, March 25, 2023: The Championship Player of the Week made yet another big save for the defending titleholders, with Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC’s Zach Zandy firing a penalty in stoppage time in the second half and dove to the right.
Moss Vegas (SD) – #SACvSD, March 25, 2023: The Spanish shootstopper continued his strong start to the season by blocking Sacramento Republic FC’s Juan Herrera’s 1-1 chance at Hart Health Park with a one-handed reflex save.
